Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan paid an official visit to Iceland’s Parliament (Althingi) and made a courtesy-call on the hon’ble Speaker, Mr. Steingrimur J. Sigfusson on 14/11/2018.
Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan met newly appointed Managing Director of Promote Iceland, Mr. Petur Oskarsson on 08/11/2018 and discussed growing engagement between the two countries.
Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan called on H.E. Kristjan Þor Juliusson, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture on 01/11/2018 and discussed renewable energy, climate change and areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan called on H.E. Thordis Kolbrun R. Gylfadottir, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Innovation on 31/10/2018. They discussed closer cooperation between the two countries on renewable energy, IT sector & Innovation. Also direct flights between New Delhi and Reykjavik from December 2018 would boost the opportunities.
Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan congratulating Mr. Krishna Kumar Damodaran on his promotion to Full Professor in Chemistry at the Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Iceland. This was at the Promotion Ceremony that also acknowledged his work in single crystal X-ray diffraction and supramolecular chemistry in Iceland.

Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan visited Iceland Ocean Cluster on 07 Sept 2018 and met Mr. Thor Sigfusson, Founder / Chairman of the Cluster and Mr. Bala Kamallakharan, Co-Founder and Partner, Dattaca Labs. He learnt about their work in creating value and discovering new opportunities by connecting entrepreneurs, business and knowledge in the marine industries.

Three Indian students namely Mr. Ashim Sattar, Ms. Remya S.N. and Ms. Tejal Sudhir Shirsat, (from Indian Institute of Science, Bangaluru & Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee) were awarded certificates by the former President of Iceland Olafur Ragnar Grimsson under the Nehru-Grimsson Fellowship to study one term in the field of Glaciology and Climate Change at the University of Iceland on 3rd May 2018.
