8th Edition of Delhi International Jazz Festival from 1-3 March 2019 at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi

Indian Council for Cultural Relations is organizing the 8th Edition of Delhi International Jazz Festival at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, during 1-3 March 2019 and intends to invite JAZZ groups to participate in the said event.

The previous seventh edition of the Festival held in September 2017 was a big success with a footfall of over 10,000. Groups from France, Israel, Korea, Mexico, Spain, and Taiwan along with three Indian groups participated in the Festival. In addition to the 3-day Festival in Delhi, the visiting groups also performed in other cities i.e. Goa, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Guwahati, Aizawl, Shilling, Varanasi and Jaipur.

Jazz groups of 5-6 members may consider their participation in the above Festival. Besides performance in the Festival in Delhi, ICCR will also explore the possibility of organizing additional performance arranged; the group could be in India for 8-10 days. The duration of the performance could be approximately 30-40 minutes in Delhi while the duration in other cities could be between 60-75 minutes.

Interested Jazz groups can write to EoI Reykjavik for recommendation for invitation by ICCR. As per its norms, ICCR will provide facilitation of grant of entry visa for India, Local hospitality including board/lodging, intercity and local transportation; cost on presentation of programme including venue, technical and publicity for organizing the Festival. The group will have to bear the cost of international passage, medical insurance. Performance charge/fees will not be paid by EoI / ICCR.
