The Embassy of India in Reykjavik will be celebrating the 7th International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2021 from 1700 Hrs to 1900 Hrs at Reykjavik City Hall.
Yoga is an ancient physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in India. Recognizing its universal appeal, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga by resolution 69/131. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.
The Programme will include speeches, a yoga practice session led by Ms. Gudrun Svava Kristinsdottir, a yoga professional from Iceland and screening of documentary on Yoga, Ayurveda, Indian culture.
