Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan visited the Marine & Freshwater Research Institute (MFRI) Reykjavik, & met officials of UNU – FTP (United Nations University Fisheries Training Program). He was briefed about their development cooperation initiatives.

Ambassador T. Armstrong Changsan called on H.E. Thordis Kolbrun R. Gylfadottir, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Innovation on 31/10/2018. They discussed closer cooperation between the two countries on renewable energy, IT sector & Innovation. Also direct flights between New Delhi and Reykjavik from December 2018 would boost the opportunities.

This was at the Promotion Ceremony that also acknowledged his work in single crystal X-ray diffraction and supramolecular chemistry in Iceland.

Swachh Bharat Summer Internship
Three Indian students namely Mr. Ashim Sattar, Ms. Remya S.N. and Ms. Tejal Sudhir Shirsat, (from Indian Institute of Science, Bangaluru & Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee) were awarded certificates by the former President of Iceland Olafur Ragnar Grimsson under the Nehru-Grimsson Fellowship to study one term in the field of Glaciology and Climate Change at the University of Iceland on 3rd May 2018.
