Mr T. Armstrong Changsan is a career diplomat in the Indian Foreign Service, in which he has served since 1997. He assumed charge as Ambassador of India to Iceland on 14 August 2018.
Before taking up his present assignment, he was the Consul General of India in Osaka-Kobe, Japan. Prior to that, he served as Deputy High Commissioner of India to South Africa, and earlier, posted at Indian Missions in Lagos and Tokyo in various capacities. At headquarters, he served in the United Nations Economic and Social Division, dealing with a wide range of issues from Climate Change to Human Rights. He also served as Director/Head of Ministry of External Affairs’ Branch Office and Regional Passport Office, Guwahati.
Mr T. Armstrong Changsan holds a B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi.
He is married and has three daughters.
